Director Alessandra Lacorazza and Actor Lio Mehiel will be in attendance for a post-screening Q & A.


Following Violeta (Lio Mehiel) and Eva (Sasha Calle) as they spend summers with the charismatic and flawed Vicente (the multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy Award-winning musician Residente), writer/director Alessandra Lacorazza’s semi-autobiographical debut feature invites us to travel a road to redemption that is arduous, unpredictable, and inflicts its own searing wounds. And yet this profoundly moving story of two sisters coming of age and bonding in the shadow of a father’s addiction recognizes the destination as real—even if salvation never looks quite the same as it does on the map and closure remains elusive.
